Brag

Because bragging is something that parents do, I've decided to share the words that Max is in command of. He understands everything, but these are the words that he says pretty clearly. This list serves three purposes:
- it's our log of Max's development - gone are the days of the "Baby Book"
- it's fun to share
- we're so proud of our son

ball, bat, babi (this is for his drink), backpack, blue, bear, bubbles, boat, bus, burp, book, car, coat, cup, cheese, chair, cheek, done, dog, daddy, drum (okay, it sounds more like "dumb"), ear, eye, fish, green, go, Gauss, hat, hot, house, heart, hair, head, mommy, more, mine, Max, Melmo (this is for Elmo), no, nose, orange, papa, pee-pee (he uses this term to tell us when he needs a diaper change!), purple, puppy, play, snow, sky, star, turtle, truck, tushie, yum

Hi!

Max is getting to be such a big boy! Not just in height but in his cognitive and physical abilities. He mimics a lot more of what is said around him than ever before and has gotten really good at telling us what he wants. When he's finished with a meal/snack/bottle, he tells us "done," very matter-of-fact. Last night he wanted out of the bath after about five minutes, "done" he told me while he stood up and began to climb out of the tub.

He's beginning to understand caring for others. For example, when he plays with his baby doll he pretends to feed her. It's very sweet.

Max is soooo physically agile - mom said he's part monkey. Blink and he might have climbed onto a table, blink again and he's working towards something else. It's unbelievable.
